We hope you find this visit informative and inviting as HBBA is one of Wisconsin's fastest growing business networking group and referral organizations. HBBA is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving the needs of local business.
HBBA - Helping Businesses Build Assets
Mission Statement
HBBA is a business collaboration group that focuses on creating business opportunities through building effective business networks, continued education, promotional opportunities and strategic partnership. HBBA has developed a positive, supportive and structured environment while at the same time offering each chapter the flexibility to create its own imprint for success. To accomplish this mission the HBBA will grow internally and externally through strategic partnerships within our community and the leaders of business. HBBA recognizes that to be successful we must continually strive to support our communities as we support each other.
HBBA provides Education, Support, Referrals, and Networking for all business types in the state of Wisconsin.
With average Annual Dues of less than $100.00, HBBA provides you with a larger sales force as each member becomes a part of your selling team. Word of mouth advertising has a much higher success rate, your clients will stay with you longer and more revenue will be generated through referrals than any other form of advertising.
Why should you and your organization join HBBA?
· In 2010, HBBA Members reported $30 Million of shared business through referrals.
· Low Cost: Average Annual dues are less than $100/ chapter member.
· ROI Focused: Chapter meetings are typically 1 to 1.5 hours in length with a focus on passing business referrals.
· Quick Starting: Chapters can start with as few as 10 members.
· Flexible: Most chapters meet only twice per month.
· It’s Your Chapter: You run your chapter, we provide support.
· Networking Events: HBBA runs social, educational and business networking events every month.
New business relationships will be formed through your HBBA affiliation, new friendships will be generated and additional revenue will begin to find its way into your business.

Executive Board Elections
HBBA is an organization driven and operated by its members. Each year positions on the Executive Board are put up for election. The process requires members to be notified at the beginning of the year of open board positions so that members may be nominated. In February, the nominees will be announced. Elections will be held at the Executive Board meeting in April. Nominations should be submitted to your District President.
This coming year, the three board positions up for election are Vice President, Secretary and General Member. These positions are important as they represent the general membership and vote on issues important to the direction and operation of HBBA.
Nominees are encouraged to visit chapters and districts to inform the membership of why you should be elected to that position. Holding a position on the Executive Board requires dedication as well as a passion for the future of HBBA. Each chapter in good standing is entitled to one vote. Ballots may be submitted in person, electronically or through your assigned representative.

Wausau/HBBA Kickoff
HBBA Continues to Spread Across Wisconsin
On July 15, Milwaukee had its first leadership event. At the event Cheryl Hiata, from Associated Bank, laid out the operations of the district and shared many ideas how to build stronger chapters through leadership and planning. Milwaukee has filled the key district board positions of President, Cheryl Haita; Vice President, George Eimer; and Treasurer, Sally Marsalek. While many positions are still open, the energy and commitment are very positive as the district seeks its goal to achieve ten chapters by the end of 2011.
On July 28, Steve Vincent and Shannon Stone made their way over to Wausau, Wisconsin to a kickoff event with over 30 people that wanted to learn about HBBA. Mark Verkuilen, from the Antigo chapter, North Woods Referral was also present to support growth in the area and answer questions. Event leaders are anticipating the development of two HBBA chapters from this group as soon as early September, which would make the area eligible to form HBBA’s fourth district by the end of 2011.
